Add a "Buy on Martiqo" button to your website
Last updated 1 November 2026
Your own website is where you present your products in full detail — long descriptions, photos, videos, comparisons. A Buy on Martiqo button lets visitors order right from that page: one click opens the product on Martiqo, where they choose the options, sign in and place the order.
The button is a plain link, so it works on any website, whatever it is built with — HTML, PHP, ASP.NET, Node.js, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and others. You don't need a developer, an API key or any change to your website's backend.
How it works
- A visitor reads about your product on your website and clicks Buy on Martiqo.
- Your Martiqo shop opens with that product already open, showing its photos, price and options.
- The visitor chooses the options (for example size and colour), signs in or creates a Martiqo account, and adds the product to the cart or orders it right away.
- From here the order follows the normal Martiqo order process: you agree on delivery terms, the buyer pays, you deliver, and you are paid through your Stripe account.
Before you start
- Your shop is public. On your shop page in Martiqo, under Storefront, turn on Make this shop public.
- Your shop can accept online payments. If it can't, buyers see a message asking them to contact you instead of the order buttons.
- The product is active on Martiqo. Out-of-stock products still open, but buyers can only ask to be notified when the product is back.
Step 1 — Get the product link
- Open your public shop page on Martiqo (its address is shown on your shop page under Storefront → Public URL).
- Click the product. Its panel opens on the right.
- Copy the address from your browser's address bar. It looks like this:
https://www.martiqo.com/shop/your-shop?product=123
Note
One link per product. A product sold in several sizes or colours has one link only. The link always opens the whole product, and the buyer picks the size, colour and other options on Martiqo. Any variant you click to get the link gives the same result.
Step 2 — Add the button to your page
Copy the code below and replace the address with your product link from step 1.

</a>The button's look is set in the style attribute, so it doesn't depend on your website's stylesheet. You can change the colours, size or text to match your design.

To keep your page open while the visitor orders, add target="_blank" rel="noopener":
<a href="https://www.martiqo.com/shop/your-shop?product=123"
target="_blank" rel="noopener"
style="display:inline-block;padding:12px 24px;background:#111827;color:#ffffff;font:600 15px/1.2 system-ui,-apple-system,'Segoe UI',Roboto,sans-serif;text-decoration:none;border-radius:8px;">

If you prefer a link styled by your own website:
<a href="https://www.martiqo.com/shop/your-shop?product=123">Buy on Martiqo</a>Where to paste the code
| Your website | Where the code goes |
|---|---|
| Hand-written HTML, PHP, ASP / ASP.NET, Node.js, Python or any other server technology | Paste the code into the product page's template or HTML file, where the button should appear. |
| WordPress | Edit the product page, add a Custom HTML block where the button should appear and paste the code into it. |
| Website builders (Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and similar) | Add the builder's HTML or embed-code element to the product page and paste the code into it. |
Link back from Martiqo to your page
Make the connection work both ways: in Martiqo, open the product in your Products page and enter your product page's address in Details URL. Buyers then see a View full details button in the product panel on Martiqo, which opens your page with all the extra details.
Tip
Some websites don't allow being shown inside other pages. If yours is one of them, Martiqo tells the buyer that the page can't be shown instead of displaying it. Click Test embed under Details URL in the product editor to check your page.
Good to know
- Prices stay correct. The button doesn't contain a price, so it never shows an outdated one. Buyers always see the current price on Martiqo.
- Renaming a product doesn't break its link.
- Removed products. The link points to one of the product's listings. If that listing is deleted or no longer shown, the link opens your shop page with a short notice that the product is no longer available. Get a fresh link from your shop page and update your button.
- Fees. The button itself is free. Orders placed through it are normal Martiqo orders, with the usual platform fee.
