1. What Martiqo is
Martiqo is a global multi-vendor marketplace that connects buyers and sellers across the world. The platform is operated from the European Union and is therefore subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and EU consumer protection law. These standards apply platform-wide, regardless of where buyers or sellers are located, and give every user the same baseline of data rights and commercial protections.
Martiqo is fully operational today. Participation is open to buyers and sellers worldwide, subject to the eligibility requirements set by our payment processor for each country.

Operating under GDPR and EU consumer protection law means strong data rights, clear platform obligations, and transparent handling of every transaction — for every user, everywhere.
Sellers in control
Every seller is the Merchant of Record for their own sales. Payments flow directly to the seller's connected payment account. Martiqo is a technology intermediary, never a party to the sale. See the Terms of Service for the full framework.
3. How Martiqo works for buyers
Buyers browse shops and listings, place orders, and communicate directly with sellers through the platform. On Martiqo, placing an order does not immediately charge the buyer. The seller first confirms the terms of the order — price, shipping, delivery timing — and only then does payment proceed. This protects buyers from unexpected charges and gives both parties an opportunity to align before any money moves.
Payments are processed by Stripe and settle directly on the seller's connected account. Martiqo does not hold or route product payments.
4. How Martiqo works for sellers
Sellers create a shop, list products, and manage their own storefront on Martiqo. Both individuals and registered businesses are supported, with seller type declared accurately at onboarding. Each seller connects a Stripe account to receive payouts; Martiqo does not receive, hold, or resell any product revenue.
Sellers set their own terms on a per-order basis, allowing flexible handling of shipping regions, delivery windows, and price adjustments. A single platform service fee applies per transaction; the full fee schedule is published in the seller account.
5. Partnerships and merchant onboarding
Martiqo partners with merchants in multiple ways. Independent sellers create and manage their own shops directly on the platform. Brands and retailers with existing affiliate programs can be featured on Martiqo through partnerships with established affiliate networks, with product data syndicated under full compliance with each network's publisher agreement.
Merchants featured on Martiqo through a partner network can transition at any time into direct sellers, taking full control over pricing, terms, and order fulfillment, and gaining access to the full set of seller tools on the platform.
